Request Different Recording Styles for Songs in Amazon Music
Amazon Music listeners can now request different recording styles of songs in the Amazon Music library. (Check out Amazon Music Unlimited).
When a song is playing, listeners can say, “Alexa, switch to an instrumental version of this,” or “Alexa, play the a cappella version of this.” Additional variants include “acoustic, deluxe, instrumental, children’s, live, lullaby, remastered or remix.” Amazon Music customers can also request songs in more than 60 different languages.

Alexa Music Commands You’re Probably Not Using
Music fans have many different ways to communicate with Alexa, including this list of some lesser-known commands:
“Alexa, play music I listened to last week.”
“Alexa, play music I haven’t heard in awhile.”
“Alexa, play brand new music.”
“Alexa, crank it up.”
“Alexa, reset the equalizer.”
“Alexa, turn up the bass.”
“Alexa, loop my (name of) playlist.”
“Alexa, play music similar to this.”
Catch the Name and Artist of Every Song
If Amazon Music is the default music service for your Alexa-enabled devices, you can say, “Alexa, turn on song ID” to catch the name and artist behind each song before it plays. Say, “Alexa, turn off song ID” to remove this feature.
Find out When Your Favorite Artist Has a New Album
Amazon Music listeners can now ask Alexa to get notifications about the music and artists they enjoy. If you find yourself listening to a playlist and enjoy a song, you can say, “Alexa, follow this artist” or ask, “Alexa, let me know when this artist has a new album.” A yellow ring will appear on Echo devices to alert users when a new song is released and listeners will be offered the option to access the new music.
