Amazon has two updates for Alexa routine users. If you have a routine that you’d like to duplicate (as well as make a few changes to) you can now do so by heading to the Routines section of your Alexa app. Open the Alexa app, tap the hamburger menu at the top left, tap routines, select one of your existing routines, tap the 3 dots at the top right of the screen, select “Copy Actions to New Routine.” Enter your unique routine name and trigger.
If you’e looking for Alexa routine inspiration, check out some of the pre-set Amazon Alexa routines within your Alexa app. Open the Alexa app on your mobile phone, tap the hamburger menu at the top left, select “Routines,” select “Featured” from the menu on the top right side. Tap on an Alexa routine you’re interested in exploring, make the changes for your specific use case and slide the “Disabled” toggle on top, to the right. You can now trigger this routine based on the criteria you’ve selected, for example when you tell Alexa to dismiss an alarm.
