If you’re looking to review and delete your past Alexa interactions or have children with Alexa devices in their rooms, follow these steps to view, hear, and delete recordings.
Open the Alexa app on your mobile phone, tap “more” on the bottom, tap “Settings,” tap “Alexa Privacy,” tap “Review Voice History,” select the date range you’d like to review recordings from and choose “Filter by device” to read, hear and delete interactions by a specific device.
To delete specific recordings, select the checkbox to the left of the recording, and then tap on “Delete Selected Recordings.” If you’d like to enable deletion by voice command, scroll up to the top of the page you’re currently at and toggle “Enable deletion by voice” on. Once this option is available, you can say, “Alexa, delete what I just said” or “Alexa, delete everything I said today.”
You can also set a deletion schedule for Alexa, so that every three weeks or every 18 months, your recordings will be automatically deleted. Open the Alexa app, tap menu, tap Alexa Privacy, select “Manage your Alexa data.”
