Although your Alexa-enabled devices will typically update on their own when connected to WiFi, you may occasionally find that your device is missing new skills and features.
If you have a voice-only Alexa device (no screen) such as an Echo Dot, Echo, Echo Studio or other, you can say, “Alexa, check for software updates” to install software on your Echo device.
If you have an Echo Show or Echo Spot, you can say, “Alexa, go to settings” or swipe down from the town of the screen. Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates.
Visit this page on Amazon’s website to determine whether you’re running the latest software version for your device.
