It’s time to ditch the digital photo frame and relive favorite memories by selecting from a number of different photo displays you can enjoy on your Echo Show device.
Amazon has updated the Alexa mobile app so that it’s now even easier to add photos to your Echo Show devices. To get started, open the Alexa app on your phone, tap “Devices” at the bottom, tap “Echo and Alexa” at the top, select the name of the Echo Show device that you’re looking to update, and then “Home Screen Background.”
You’ll now have the option of uploading a photo from your phone, selecting an album from your Amazon Photos Collection (if applicable), or selecting photos from a connected Facebook account. (You can link your Facebook account with Alexa and view photos you’ve shared on Facebook in the Alexa app. Tap “More,” tap “Settings,” select “Photos,” and proceed to link your Facebook account.)
You can also opt to turn on “Daily Memories” to display a curated selection of photos that refresh daily. Toggling “This Day” on will offer up photos from each day in years past.
