Turning Alexa Off at Night

If you prefer to turn Alexa off while you’re sleeping, simply press the mute button on the top of the device.

If you have an Alexa device with a screen near the bed (Echo Show, Spot) and find the screen brightness to be too much for sleeping, you can dim the brightness by tapping your screen >Settings > Display > Scroll to adjust brightness.

If you prefer t a dark room for the night, say, “Alexa, turn off the screen.” Tap the screen or say, “Alexa, turn the screen on” to bring the screen back.
